These scissors were borne from a combination of craftsmanship and sophisticated, speed-inspiring, polished design.
Made with the CDT's traditional attention to detail, its quality and sharpness are second to none. The handle and blade of these scissors are made from stainless steel, in a solid, one-piece construction. They have an overall hairline finish, with a characteristic pattern resembling fine strands of hair. With a matt and not too glossy polish their finish radiate elegance. Handle with engraved CDT logo. Gives off a polished impression, overflowing with speed.

Developed with an easy-to-use concept in mind, with a universal design which is comfortable to handle with either hand. At a closer sight, you can notice that the blades are slightly curved. There is a tiny gap between the two blades around the center, coming together tightly at the tip of the blades. From these fine details is born a sharpness, where you can feel the weight of the blades. Sharp as a pair of cutting shears, with these scissors you can even cut through gauze lightly and easily.

These scissors are manufactured in Seki City in Gifu Prefecture,  a city well-known for its blade craftsmanship. Since the Kamakura period the city of Seki has been renowned for its manufacture of swords and daggers, being deemed to have the optimum natural features for such production. Although the production has changed from swords and daggers to household knives the skills of the craftsmen are still being passed on, and Seki blades are even now highly prized for their sharp edges and durable construction.

CDT's scissors are diligently made by those very same craftsmen, and therefore have that profound beauty and "hand-made" feel to them. We wanted to make stationary never seen before, with Japanese quality, attention to detail, and with a strong emphasis on ease-of-use, with an added distinctly new design. That dream has now become true - this is Craft Design Technology.
